(KSL News) A Utah County woman accused of killing a young boy she was babysitting was found guilty today.
Jurors had the option of finding Daniella Ruiz guilty of first-degree murder, child abuse homicide or acquitting her of the charges.
After more than 10 hours of deliberations, the jury of six women and two men settled on the lesser charges of child abuse homicide.
Prosecutors say the boy's parents are relieved to finally have some answers about why their son died.
Five-month-old Brandon Zamora died in January of 2006.
Ruiz claimed it was from medical problems, while prosecutors called it a case of shaken baby abuse.
She faces one to 15 years in prison when she is sentenced on Jan. 13.
