(KSL News) -- This morning on Eyewitness News Today, High Five hit a neighborhood in South Jordan.

Kristen Brady nominated her parents: Lyle and Tracy Shamo.

Kristen says she's the oldest of eight children, and she herself has had cerebral palsy since birth. She says her parents have made innumerable sacrifices along the way.

Kristen Brady: "Parents don't get recognized for the outstanding things that they do as parents and I've realized that over the last couple years having my own children."

Lyle Shamo, Nominated by Daughter, High 5 Surprise: "I guess we're a little emotional-- being recognized as being good parents."
