(KSL News) It looks like Detroit's "Big Three" may not be getting a bailout from Washington by the end of the year after all.
Democrats in the Senate are moving ahead with a plan to use part of the $700 billion Wall Street bailout to pay for the loans. But aides in both parties and lobbyists following the plan say the votes aren't there.
The White House and Congressional Republicans want the money to come from a loan program already approved by Congress. But some say the government shouldn't help the auto industry at all.
