The state of Utah is offering a service that would let you know when a sex offender moves into your neighborhood.

The alert would show up in your inbox. So far, 830 Utahns have signed up for the special alerts.

The state has about 7,000 registered sex offenders.

The alert tells when or if a sex offender lives within a one-mile radius of a home or business.
