SANDY, Utah (AP) -- Investigators say a robbery at a Subway store in Sandy this week may be linked to other recent robberies across the valley.

On Tuesday, police say a man entered the Subway store, located near 9500 South and 700 East. He then allegedly approached a female employee with a 12-inch butcher knife, demanded money and fled in the scene in a vehicle -- possibly a silver Subaru.

Detectives now believe the robbery could be connected to the Taco Bell robberies nearly three weeks ago in Sandy, West Valley City and Taylorsville.

The man is described as six feet tall and weighs around 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and jeans.
