(KSL News) A fresh blanket of snow helped officers track down two wanted fugitives overnight.
Officers arrested Damian Evans and Steve Contreras at a house in West Valley City last night.
Police saw the men driving on the freeway and recognized the vehicle's plates. But when they attempted to pull over the car, the driver took off.
Eventually the suspects crashed into a parked car in West Valley City while trying to make a turn on slick roads.
Officers followed their footprints in the snow, eventually tracking them to a home near 4000 West and 3200 South.
Evans is a known gang member. Both he and Contreras are wanted on warrants.
