(KSL News) Two people are dead after being thrown from their vehicle in a crash along SR-40 in Summit County.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office says the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was going too fast when it rolled and threw two passengers from the Jeep at mile marker 4.

Neither was wearing a seatbelt. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Two others in the Jeep were buckled in and suffered only minor injuries.

The names of the victims have not been released. Deputies are still notifying family.
