(KSL News) A race to beat a yellow traffic light ends in injuries.
Four people were taken to the hospital after a late night accident on Bangerter Highway.
It happened when a mini-van tried to make a left hand turn in front of an oncoming car near State Road 201. Both vehicles were racing to beat yellow lights.
Sgt. John Pearce/ West Valley City Police Dept.: "This is just people being impatient. Unfortunately it doesn't just happen on the holidays. It happens all the time."
One woman injured is six-months pregnant. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
This accident comes at the end of a notoriously dangerous weekend for Utah motorists. Police say about four people die each Labor Day weekend.
