SALT LAKE CITY — Remember concerts?

If you don’t, here’s how they worked: Before COVID-19, bands would leave their houses, drive from town to town, and play music in front of live audiences.

Venues were hot and sweaty. T-shirts were overpriced. The floors were sticky. But people didn’t care. In fact, they loved it. They would dance and clap and sing along. It was pretty fantastic.

After a horrific 2020 for live music, bands and venues are betting that 2021 will be better. While most club-sized shows are still on hold, large venues are announcing rescheduled dates.

Here’s how 2021 is shaping up — fingers crossed, of course.
