OGDEN — Authorities on Thursday released the name of a woman whose body was found in Ogden Canyon Tuesday.

Weber County Sheriff’s Office officials said the body of Lopine “Chynna” Toilolo, 30, was found Tuesday evening. Sheriff's Lt. Cortney Ryan said Wednesday that Toilolo's death is being investigated as suspicious.

Toilolo's family reported her missing prior to her body being discovered. In a Facebook post shared thousands of times, the family wrote that she was last heard from early Sunday morning when she texted her mother that she was on her way home.

The sheriff's office received a call just before 6 p.m. Tuesday about a possible body near 400 Ogden Canyon, Ryan said in a news release. When authorities arrived, they found the woman's body.

Officials from the sheriff's office, as well as the Weber County Attorney's Office and Weber-Morgan CSI, responded to the scene. Investigators were "actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death," the release says.

Authorities said they are treating the death as suspicious but do not believe there is a danger to the public at this time.

Anyone who may have seen something "suspicious" in the area between Sunday morning and Tuesday evening is asked to call sheriff's investigators at 801-778-6631.

The sheriff’s office held a press conference Wednesday afternoon but provided few details. Ryan said authorities were not providing any new updates as of Thursday morning.
