The woman, later identified as Aguilar, was clothed and there are no signs of foul play in her death as of Tuesday morning, Merritt said. Police were waiting for the medical examiner’s office to process the scene.
Police did not find any signs of entrances to the pool being unlocked or damaged, Merritt said. The pool is closed, and maintenance crews only visit the facility a couple times a week, he added.
Saturday was the last time anyone was inside the pool facility, and the last time someone checked the perimeter was Sunday, Merritt said.
Investigators have not been able to determine how Aguilar got into the facility. Police will be checking the surrounding area at the park, as well as any surveillance cameras.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
