SAN RAFAEL SWELL — If you haven't trekked it yourself, you’ve probably at least heard of San Rafael Swell before.

The hike is a very popular one in Utah and has even played the part of an alien planet for Hollywood multiple times. It was used in 1999’s “Galaxy Quest,” and then as the planet Vulcan in the 2009 remake of “Star Trek.”

But no matter how familiar (or unfamiliar) you might be with San Rafael Swell, you’ve never seen it like this. The bright red rock walls look so much larger from the perspective of a dog, and the pace seems much quicker.

The shakiness of the camera as our four-legged camera dog, if you will, bounces along, in addition to the everpresent flop of his ears makes me smile. It also seems like this pup is continuously checking on its companions and having the time of its life.

If you like dogs, beautiful hikes, or just want some upbeat music and a new perspective, I highly encourage you to check out this video from Luke Schreder.
