JAMES BOND FILM RELEASE PUSHED BACK DUE TO CORONAVIRUS
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The release of the James Bond film “No Time To Die” has been pushed back several months because of concerns about coronavirus and its impact on the global theatrical marketplace. MGM, Universal and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli say the film will be pushed back from its April release to November 2020. “No Time To Die” will now hit theaters in the U.K. on Nov. 12 and worldwide on Nov. 25. Publicity plans for the film in China, Japan and South Korea had previously been canceled because of the outbreak.

TREBEK REACHES 1-YEAR MARK IN CANCER FIGHT WITH HOPE, CANDOR
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Alex Trebek marked his one-year battle against pancreatic cancer with candor about how hard it’s been and a vow to keep going. In a video message posted online Wednesday, the host of “Jeopardy1” says there have been good and “not-so-good days” during his treatment, including pain and depression. But when he wondered about continuing the fight, Trebek said he realized he couldn't stop. To do so, he said, would be a betrayal of his wife, of other cancer patients who look to him as an inspiration and of his religious faith. The 79-year-old Trebek hasn't faltered in his work, continuing to host the quiz show.
DYLAN AND RONAN FARROW BLAST UPCOMING WOODY ALLEN MEMOIR
NEW YORK (AP) — An upcoming memoir by Woody Allen is being blasted by two of his children, Dylan Farrow and author-journalist Ronan Farrow. Dylan Farrow calls news about the release of the upcoming book “deeply upsetting.” Farrow has alleged that Allen molested her as a child in the early 1990s. Allen has denied any wrongdoing, and he was never charged after two separate investigations. Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group, said the book is called “Apropos of Nothing.” Allen's agreement with Hachette means he shares a publisher with Ronan Farrow, whose “Catch and Kill” was released by the Hachette division Little, Brown and Company. Ronan Farrow criticized his publisher Tuesday night.
CEREBRAL NEW FX SERIES 'DEVS' LIKELY TO BLOW SOME MINDS
NEW YORK (AP) — The new FX series “Devs” might be set in the world of high tech, but its creator is politely asking you to put yours down while checking it out. Alex Garland wants you to choose to watch his show, be present, not half-watch while fiddling with your phone. It's not that kind of show. Garland, who wrote and directed each episode, has a point: “Devs” is an absorbing meditation on the very essence of human existence and free will, all hidden in an elegant techno-thriller. It's worth putting down your gizmo. It debuts Thursday exclusively on FX on Hulu.
LAWYER SAYS AWARD-WINNING IRAN FILMMAKER SUMMONED TO PRISON
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — A lawyer for Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof (rah-soo-LAHF’), who just won the Berlin Film Festival's Golden Bear, says he's been summoned to serve a one-year prison sentence. Nasser Zarafshan told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Rasoulof's sentence came from three films he made that authorities found to be “propaganda against the system.” There was no immediate state media report about Rasoulof's summons. Rasoulof just won the Berlin Film Festival's top prize for his film “There Is No Evil.”
