SALT LAKE CITY — Amy Klobuchar is coming to Utah.
Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, one of the more moderate candidates vying to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for president, is coming to Utah ahead of Super Tuesday, when Utah will hold its presidential primary.
According to her website, Klobuchar will be holding a rally on Monday, March 2, at 9 a.m. at The Depot, 13 N. 400 West, in downtown Salt Lake City. Doors open at 8:15 a.m.
The announcement on her website reads: "Amy Klobuchar is coming to Salt Lake City, Utah! Join Amy to hear about her plans to beat Donald Trump, unite our country and get us back on the path to progress. Bring your friends and family and join Team Amy on Monday, March 2 as we rally around our candidate, Amy Klobuchar!"
This event will be Klobuchar's first visit to Utah during this election cycle. Her announcement follows in-person events from Democratic presidential hopefuls former South Bend (Indiana) Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is also planning to hold a rally in Utah on Monday.
