KANDI BURESS “TRULY SADDENED” BY SHOOTING AT HER RESTAURANT

EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) - Former Xscape member Kandi Burruss says she is “truly saddened” that three people were wounded by a gunman outside a restaurant she owns near Atlanta on Valentine’s Day. Burruss writes on Instagram she wants to bring a positive experience to her community and the acts of violence are not a reflection of the restaurant’s values. Police say a man entered the Old Lady Gang restaurant Friday night and targeted another man. Two bystanders were shot as well. Police say the victims did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Police say the shooter is not in custody.

ELTON JOHN LOSES VOICE DURING NEW ZEALAND CONCERT

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (AP) - Elton John’s voice gave out during his concert in Auckland, New Zealand, yesterday. Video clips show John in tears as he told the crowd that his voice was not working. John says on Instagram he’s got walking pneumonia and he was trying to give “the best show humanly possible.” He says he’s “disappointed, deeply upset and sorry.” A rep for John says a show scheduled for tomorrow in Auckland has now been pushed back a day — on advice of the singer’s doctors.

QUEEN, NEWTON-JOHN PLAY AUSTRALIA WILDFIRES CHARITY CONCERT

SYDNEY (AP) - Queen with Adam Lambert, 5 Seconds of Summer and Olivia Newton-John were among the performers at a 10-hour concert yesterday in Sydney to raise money for relief efforts for Australia’s wildfires. Alice Cooper, k.d. lang and Michael Buble’ (boo-BLAY’) also were part of the lineup. Fox will air the concert as a charity benefit special on Feb. 29.

LIZZO SAYS SHE’S “PERFECT”

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Lizzo believes the problem with thin blonde women being held up as the ideal for pop stars is that even those women knew they weren’t perfect. Lizzo says those women probably struggled with depression as they dealt with having to live up to a body type. Lizzo describes herself as “black,” “curvy” and “perfect.” She says even though she and Billie Eilish (EYE’-lish) are completely different from each other, they’re both “rebelling against the archetype of the pop star.”

ENRIQUE IGLESIAS WELCOMES THIRD CHILD

UNDATED (AP) - Enrique Iglesias is a dad again, but he’s not giving many details. Both Iglesias and his longtime partner, tennis star Anna Kournikova, posted photos of themselves with a baby and the caption, “My sunshine 01.30.2020.” No details on whether it’s a boy or girl or what name they chose. Iglesias and Kournikova also have three-year-old twins, Nicholas and Lucy.

COMMON NAMED MVP OF CELEBRITY GAME

CHICAGO (AP) - Common was named the most valuable player at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Chicago on Friday. He had 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals for Team Wilbon, which beat Team Stephen A, 62-47. Quavo had nine points for Team Stephen A. Chance The Rapper had a supporting role in the all-star dunk contest on Saturday. He held a ball on his head as Orlando’s Aaron Gordon grabbed it from behind and jumped over Chance for the dunk.

RODDY RICCH RETAINS NUMBER ONE SPOT

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Roddy Ricch’s “Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial” keeps its spot at number one on the Billboard 200 album chart. That gives Ricch four non-consecutive weeks in first. The album moved 79,000 units in the past week. “Hollywood’s Bleeding” by Post Malone is in second, followed by “Music To Be Murdered By” by Eminem. Green Day debuts in fourth with “Father of All....” Billie Eilish is number five with “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”
