SALT LAKE CITY — A snowstorm hit parts of the Wasatch Front during the Wednesday morning commute, creating slick conditions for some commuters.
As of 9 a.m., restrictions were in place for Little Cottonwood Canyon, according to the Utah Department of Transportation. The restrictions were lifted about 10:30 a.m., UDOT said. Big Cottonwood Canyon has had no restrictions in effect.
A handful of crashes were reported early Wednesday morning, including in Weber and Tooele counties and on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley, according to the KSL Traffic Center. Parts of I-15 were snowy from Farmington to North Salt Lake, as were roads in Tooele County.

Under an inch of snow is expected in the valleys, with 2 to 4 inches in the mountains, according to KSL meteorologist Grant Weyman. Much of the snow will taper off between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.
