SOUTH OGDEN — Police have arrested a man who they say stabbed his mother early Tuesday morning.
About 5 a.m. Tuesday, Michael Adam Christensen, 34, allegedly stabbed his 68-year-old mother, according to a news release from the South Ogden Police Department. The incident took place near 700 E. 5300 South, police said.
Police were searching for Christensen for most of Tuesday morning but announced shortly before 1 p.m. that he had been arrested.
The woman was taken to a local hospital, but her condition was unknown as of Tuesday morning, according to police. She was not identified.
Police say Christensen has a history of violence and mental illness but did not elaborate further.
