Early Wednesday morning, the Islamic Republic of Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles toward American military targets in Iraq. Although I’ve been out of the service for six years — longer than I was on active duty — I couldn’t help but watch the attack unfold on television and imagine what it was like to be there.
