WALKING ON EGGSHELLS — It's 2020, and with a new year comes a lot of talk about change. But some things never change, and one of those things is that dogs are pure and funny.

You've heard the phrase "it's a dog-eat-dog world." Well, get ready for a "dog-crush-egg world."

A few months ago, there was a trend on TikTok where people would see if their dogs could be gentle with an egg: You give a dog an egg and see if the animal could hold it in their mouth without cracking it.

There are tons of these videos but one stands out.

It starts out with the videographer explaining the trend and describing his plans to try it out on his dog. We can see our protagonist, a sweet doggo named Lucky, milling around in the background while the dog owner shows the audience the egg.

This was too funny, I don’t know what video but it said that dogs know that eggs are too fragile 💀 #doggo#dogsoftiktok#sowholesome#foryoutiktok

Lucky's owner tries to get the pup to take the egg, but Lucky seems disinterested and makes the owner chase it for a while before finally taking the egg in its mouth and promptly walking away.

At first, all is going well! Lucky is walking around with the egg, and it's still intact! Then, things take a turn. Lucky suddenly spits the egg out, looks at it, and immediately crushes it with a swift paw hit.

Every single time I watch Lucky smash the egg, I instantly crack up laughing — pun intended. There is something so funny about watching this dog succeed in protecting its egg only to quickly crush it by tapping it.

Lucky gave it a doggone good effort, but things ended up scrambled. In Lucky's defense, it wasn't an over-easy challenge.
