UNDATED (AP) — Baylor got the real sense of belonging in the conversations about Big 12 and playoff contenders after a fast start against Oklahoma. That didn't change after the Sooners had their biggest comeback ever. The No. 6 Sooners and No. 8 Bears play again Saturday for the Big 12 title and very possibly a spot in the College Football Playoff. The game comes three weeks after the Sooners overcame a 25-point deficit in Waco and beat the Bears 34-31. Oklahoma is the four-time defending champion going for its 13th title overall. Baylor is playing in its first Big 12 championship game.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Nick Rakocevic had a tip-in in the final second and Southern Cal beat TCU 80-78. The Horned Frogs had come back 18-point deficit after halftime to tie the game. Rakocevic got the game-winning points with two-tenths of a second left on the clock after a miss by Ethan Anderson. TCU got a timeout, but then had an inbound infraction before being able to get off a desperation shot. TCU tied the game at 78 on Kevin Samuel's layup while being fouled with 8 seconds remaining. But Samuel missed the go-ahead free throw and Rakocevic grabbed the rebound.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The 20th-ranked University of Colorado Buffaloes haven't won a game at the University of Kansas' storied Allen Fieldhouse since the 1982-83 season. That's when Colorado coach Tad Boyle was a member of the Jayhawks team. The Buffaloes have lost 29 straight games at Kansas but they won the last time these teams met on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in 2013.

UNDATED (AP) — The Heisman Trophy chase and the playoff race have become intertwined. Since the College Football Playoff started in 2014, four of the five Heisman winners and 14 of the 17 finalists have played on teams selected to play in the semifinals. That makes conference championship weekend especially important as voters keep an eye on contenders. It has also made it especially difficult for players out of the national title hunt, like injured Alabama star Tua Tagovailoa, to work their way on to voters' ballots.
