PROVO — Firefighters are combing through what’s left of a mobile home that was destroyed by a fire Friday. The lone tenant, who had a run-in with law enforcement prior to the blaze, was nowhere to be found.

The fire at 860 W. Columbia Lane started around 10:30 a.m. and quickly ripped through the unit, according to Provo Fire and Rescue Capt. Dean York. He said a dog was inside the mobile home and it was rescued by firefighters.

The dog appears to be OK.

It is unknown whether the resident was home at the time, York said, adding that the mobile home is a total loss.
