SALT LAKE CITY — An 18-year-old Tooele man has been charged with possessing child pornography.
Darryl Kenneth Bossert, Jr. was charged Monday by the Utah Attorney General’s Office in 3rd District Court with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony.
The investigation into Bossert began in May. Bossert told investigators that he may have “accidentally” downloaded a file that contained multiple pictures and videos of children ranging in ages from 10 to 17, according to charging documents.
“Initial forensics of two cellphones indicates defendant possessed over 1,000 child pornography images,” the charges state.
One video intercepted by investigators shows the reactions of children as they are shown child pornography involving pre-pubescent children, according to charging documents.
