UNDATED (AP) — Duke to face California and possibly No. 22 Texas at Madison Square Garden after climbing to No. 1. The Blue Devils moved atop the AP Top 25 after previous No. 1 Kentucky lost against Evansville at home.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Kevin Samuel became the first TCU player in 25 years with three consecutive double-doubles to start a season. He had a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds in the Horned Frogs’ 65-54 win over Air Force. RJ Nembhard added 15 points and five assists with two alley-oop passes for Samuel dunks.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Kristian Doolittle scored 19 points and Austin Reaves added 18 as Oklahoma beat William & Mary 75-70 in the first round of the College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic Monday night. The Sooners (4-0) trailed for much of the game before regrouping late to outlast the Tribe in a closely fought contest.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Jermaine Haley had 18 points and 12 rebounds and West Virginia needed a late scoring burst to outlast Northern Colorado 69-61. Derek Culver added 13 points for the Mountaineers.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts helped the Sooners erase a 25-point deficit to beat Baylor 34-31 last week and extend their November win streak to 19 games. Finding a way has been a key to the Sooners’ run of four straight Big 12 titles and three trips to the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma has six November wins the past two years. Five of them are by five points or fewer. The eighth-ranked Sooners host TCU on Saturday.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texas started the season in the top 10 and with lofty expectations as a Big 12 title favorite. Mid-November has them saddled with four losses. Coach Tom Herman is facing questions about what went wrong. Texas has now had 10 consecutive seasons of at least four losses. Now unranked, the Longhorns play at No. 13 Baylor on Saturday.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — No. 22 Oklahoma State gets a lot of attention for its dynamic offense that features the nation’s leading rusher, Chuba Hubbard, but the Cowboys’ defense also has been outstanding lately. In addition to holding each of its last three opponents to 27 points or fewer, Oklahoma State has generated 10 total turnovers, including four interceptions and a fumble recovery from sophomore safety Kolby Harvell-Peel, in those games.

UNDATED (AP) — Duke has moved to No. 1 in The Associated Press men’s college basketball poll following Kentucky’s surprising loss to Evansville. The Blue Devils moved up a spot after a pair of wins last week. The Wildcats dropped to No. 9. Louisville is second, followed by Michigan State, Kansas and North Carolina.
