SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say two teenage boys have been arrested after assaulting a woman during a carjacking. KING-TV reports the carjacking occurred Saturday afternoon. Police say the woman was driving through the Highpoint neighborhood when the 14- and 15-year-old boys got into the running vehicle.
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Bonneville County Sheriff's officials say a 70-year-old man has died after crashing his vehicle into a creek. Officials say Ted Bromley of Bonneville County died in the crash off Fall Creek Road. Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Officials at Oregon Health & Science University are investigating the placement of a noose found in a secure area of campus. KOIN-TV reports the noose was found looped over a construction cone Thursday. It was the second time a noose was found recently at a Portland campus. A noose was found two weeks ago at Chapman Elementary School.
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Authorities in Snohomish County are investigating the death of a man who was shot by sheriff's deputies in an apartment near Everett. The Daily Herald reports the shooting occurred Saturday night in the 100 block of 124th Street SE. The Snohomish County Multiple Response Team says deputies were responding to reports of a man who was acting suicidal, had a knife and had stabbed himself.
