TAYLORSVILLE — An intoxicated 21-year-old backed into an unmarked police car early Saturday morning, charging documents say.
Jose Angel Fitzpatrick said he did not see the vehicle parked at 1141 W. Meadowbrook Expressway, and inadvertently backed into it, according to the charging documents filed by South Salt Lake Police Department.
Officer Robin King wrote in the charges that two open bottles of beer and an open can of beer were found in Fitzpatrick's car, along with a bag that tested positive for containing marijuana.
Fitzpatrick said he drank four beers and two shots of tequila and smoked marijuana a few hours before he had planned on driving, according to the charging documents, and he had given several indications that he was intoxicated during the standardized field sobriety tests.
