TAYLORSVILLE — A 16-year-old girl was transported to the hospital in critical condition Friday afternoon after crashing into a construction project on Redwood Road, police said. She is expected to live.
The teen’s car rolled after it hit a sewer construction project and utility pole about 5:23 p.m. near Conifer Way and Redwood Road, Unified police detective Kevin Mallory said.
Detectives don’t know what caused the accident, and said before the crash the teen had driven on the sidewalk and grass.
The utility pole didn’t receive significant damage, Mallory said.
The incident is under investigation, he said.
