SALT LAKE CITY — A fluid spill shut down two lanes of traffic on eastbound I-80 near Redwood Road Tuesday morning, officials said.
A vehicle leaked hydraulic fluid over about a quarter mile of the road early Tuesday, according to Salt Lake City Fire Capt. Adam Archuletta. The spill was reported by officials on Twitter about 5 a.m.
The fluid was "not super toxic" and does not pose a threat to the public, Archuletta said..
The two right lanes of traffic were blocked for a time as crews used dirt and a sanding truck to clean up the fluid.
