EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Marquette forward Joey Hauser is transferring to Michigan State. Hauser averaged 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds a game as a freshman in 2018-19. Michigan State coach Tom Izzo says the Spartans recruited Hauser out of high school and are familiar with him. Hauser said in a statement that he can't wait to take this next step in his career.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin says assistant men's basketball coach Howard Moore is up and walking at a hospital after a weekend automobile wreck in Michigan that killed his wife and daughter. The school also says Moore's son, Jerell, had been released from a hospital. The Moore family was in a car that collided head-on with a vehicle authorities say was driving the wrong way on a Detroit-area highway.
