CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Belk Bowl is moving to New Year's eve. The annual bowl game which features a matchup between the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference teams will be played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina and begin at noon Eastern time.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama and South Florida will start a three-game football series in the 2023 season. The schools announced they'll play in Tampa, Florida that season followed by games in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 2024 and 2026.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Former Colorado and Northern Illinois coach Ricardo Patton has joined Vanderbilt's staff as a senior adviser to new coach Jerry Stackhouse. Patton is a Nashville native who played at Belmont. Patton coached Colorado from 1996-2007 and went 184-160 with two NCAA Tournament appearances. He coached Northern Illinois from 2007-11 and posted a 35-83 record.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Ross Bjork has been hired as Texas A&M's athletic director. Bjork, who is the athletic director at Mississippi, will take over for Scott Woodward, who left for the same job at LSU last month.

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Drake Fellows pitched six scoreless innings for his 11th win of the season and top-seeded Vanderbilt beat No. 4 seed Mississippi State 1-0 in the Southeastern Conference Tournament. Vanderbilt continued its roll through SEC competition. The Commodores have won 16 of their past 17 against league opponents. Mississippi State's Ethan Small took the tough loss, giving up just one run over seven innings.

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Patrick Sullivan's two-run double in the bottom of the eighth lifted Georgia to a 3-1 win over Arkansas in the Southeastern Conference Tournament. The Bulldogs move into Saturday's semifinals while the Razorbacks face Mississippi Friday in an elimination game.

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — No. 5 seed LSU scored the tying and winning runs after a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth to defeat No. 8 seed Auburn 4-3 in a Southeastern Conference Tournament elimination game Thursday. LSU will play an elimination game Friday against either No. 1 seed Vanderbilt or No. 4 seed Mississippi State.

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Cole Zabowski's two-out double in the ninth brought home the game's only run as Mississippi edged Texas A&M 1-0 in a Southeastern Conference elimination game Thursday despite going hitless for the first eight innings. Texas A&M's John Doxakis struck out 10 and walked four in eight innings of no-hit ball but left after throwing 99 pitches.
