MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — North Carolina running back Jordan Brown is heading to Kansas State, where he will be eligible to play for new coach Chris Klieman immediately as a graduate transfer. Brown ran for 613 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore, but his playing time decreased last year. The Wildcats had no scholarship running backs returning this season.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Penn State's Grant Ament and Boston College star Sam Apuzzo are among the men's and women's finalists for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the top players in college lacrosse. Pat Spencer of Loyola, Yale's TD Ierlan, Maryland's Jared Bernhardt, and Princeton's Michael Sowers are the other men's finalists. BC's Dempsey Arsenault, Jen Giles of Maryland, Selena Lasota of Northwestern, and Maryland's Megan Taylor are the other women finalists. The winners will be announced May 30.
