BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU has formalized an agreement to bring in Scott Woodward as the university's next athletic director. Woodward has been Texas A&M's athletic director since 2016 and held the same post at Washington for eight years before that. He takes over at LSU on the heels of the university's announcement that 11th-year Athletic Director Joe Alleva would be stepping down and be reassigned to another job within the institution. Woodward is a Baton Rouge native and LSU graduate.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi State's lack of a consistent passing offense wrecked what could have been a special season in 2018 for the Bulldogs. Second-year coach Joe Moorhead is working to correct the issues. The Bulldogs spent a big chunk of the spring rebuilding their offense. The new quarterback is likely junior Keytaon Thompson. The Bulldogs also are looking for more production from receivers like Stephen Guidry and Osirus Mitchell.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky has signed forward Keion Brooks to a national letter of intent after adding former Bucknell forward Nate Sestina as a graduate transfer. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound Brooks is the Wildcats' first signee of the spring period. He averaged 20.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last season for La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana. Before that Kentucky signed the 6-9, 245-pound Sestina, who averaged 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game and made the All-Patriot League second team.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — New Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse has added longtime Pac-12 assistant David Grace to his staff as associate head coach. Grace spent the 2018-19 season as an assistant coach at California before Golden Bears coach Wyking Jones got fired last month. Grace also spent five years each at UCLA and Oregon State.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Australian guard Jessie Rennie has become the first player to sign with Tennessee since Kellie Harper took over as coach of the Lady Vols. Rennie verbally committed to Tennessee last month when Holly Warlick was coaching the Lady Vols. Rennie stuck to that commitment and signed with Tennessee after Warlick was fired and Harper was hired.
