LAYTON — A man was killed Wednesday night when he was hit by a car in Layton, police said.

About 8:50 p.m., the 32-year-old man was hit at 2080 N. Main St., said Layton Police Lt. Brady Fitzpatrick.

The man was taken to Davis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Fitzpatrick said the driver who hit the man was cooperating with police.

The man who was hit was crossing the street in an area without a crosswalk, Fitzpatrick said, and it appears the driver did not see him.

Additional information, including the man's name, was not immediately released.
