LOGAN — All buildings were cleared and classes resumed after a gas leak forced brief evacuations at Utah State University on Monday, officials said.

A gas line in front of the Life Sciences building was hit, university officials said on Twitter. The leak was first reported about 11:45 a.m.

The University Inn, as well as the Biotech and Life Sciences buildings were briefly evacuated, but have since reopened and classes have resumed, officials said. University officials initially reported that the Biology and Natural Resources building was evacuated, but later said it was not.

It was not clear how the gas line was hit. No other information about the leak was immediately available Monday.
