MILLCREEK — A water main break closed part of Highland Drive in Millcreek during the Wednesday morning commute and into the afternoon, Utah Department of Transportation officials said.

As of 3:30 p.m., all roads in the area were reopened, according to UDOT. One lane of Highland Drive is open in each direction, Salt Lake City Public Utilities tweeted.

The break closed Highland Drive in both directions from 4500 South to Lincoln Lane (4350 South) as crews worked to repair the break, according to a tweet from UDOT.

The water was turned off in the area, and a crew is searching for the source of the break, Salt Lake City Public Utilities said. As of 3:40 p.m., crews had found the break and work was moving along well, officials said on Twitter.

The repairs should be done within the next few hours, by 7:30 p.m. at the latest, public utilities officials said. Crews will lay asphalt in the area on Thursday, officials said.
