LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Latest on an explosion in Los Angeles (all times local):
10 a.m.
Authorities say a 9,000-gallon (34,000-liter) tanker leaking gasoline caught fire and caused an explosion that injured two people in South Los Angeles.
The fire department says the blast Sunday morning reverberated through storm drains and sent manhole covers into the air.
Dozens of firefighters took about an hour to douse the fire, which sent up a huge plume of smoke visible across the city.
Officials say two people were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
At least two nearby structures were exposed to flames. The extent of the damage isn't immediately known.
An investigation is underway in the neighborhood about 6 miles (10 kilometers) south of downtown Los Angeles.

Authorities say multiple people have been hurt in an explosion following reports of an underground gas leak in South Los Angeles.
The fire department says crews found flames coming from storm drains early Sunday. Officials say the blast displaced several manholes in a neighborhood about 6 miles (10 kilometers) south of downtown Los Angeles.
The department says multiple people are hurt. The extent of their injuries isn't immediately known.
It isn't clear if the fire spread to any structures.
