SOUTH SALT LAKE — A man was killed after being hit by two vehicles at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning, officials said.

The accident occurred at 136 W. 3300 South, South Salt Lake police spokesman Gary Keller told KSL. The victim was in his 30s or 40s, and was underdressed for the weather conditions.

Police received reports of a person walking in the road, and shortly thereafter they received calls saying someone had been hit, Keller said.

Police have closed westbound 3300 South between West Temple and the Trax line to investigate the accident, Keller said. Both drivers remained on scene and are cooperating with police. Keller added that police do not currently know why the man was in the street.

The road is expected to open at around 9:30 a.m.
