Waterford School evacuated after threat, police say

SANDY — Waterford School was evacuated Friday after a threat was called into the school, Sandy police said.

"The investigation is ongoing, but our first priority was for the safety of students and employees, so the school was evacuated," said Sandy Police Sgt. Michael Olsen.

The private school at 1480 E. 9400 South serves preschool through 12th-grade students.

Olsen didn't provide further details regarding the nature of the threat.
