OREM — An Orem man accused of giving methamphetamine to a 16-year-old girl he was baby-sitting and raping her now faces 13 felony charges.
David Bradley Huey, 51, was charged Wednesday in 4th District Court with rape, two counts of forcible sodomy, two counts of object rape, and six counts of drug distribution, all first-degree felonies. He was also charged with two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.
Between Jan. 17 and Jan. 23, Huey gave methamphetamine to a teenage girl in his care "at least once a day for six days that he was baby-sitting her," according to charging documents.
"During this week of grooming her in a position of special trust, Huey had her sleep in his bed with him with progressively less and less clothes on each night," the charges state.
Huey's sexual abuse increased each day until he raped her, according to charging documents.
He was being held in the Utah County Jail Wednesday without bail. Huey has a lengthy criminal history, including convictions on drug-related charges, forgery and attempted theft.
