SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake police were searching Monday for a man who allegedly ran over an employee at a downtown restaurant.
About 11:40 a.m. Friday, a 66-year-old man at Hires Big H, 425 S. 700 East, told Patrick Walker, 27, that he could not park there, said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Brandon Shearer. Walker had been using the Hires parking lot recently to drop off his girlfriend, who works nearby, he said.
The employee and Walker got into an argument. That's when the employee walked in front of Walker's Dodge Ram 1500 and Walker "drove over the victim, causing substantial injuries," Shearer said. The employee was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, said Shearer.
Police were still looking Monday for Walker and his vehicle, a black Dodge Ram with Utah license W076YH.
