FARMINGTON — Power was restored to more than 12,000 residents in Davis County after a massive outage Monday.

About 7,739 customers in Farmington, as well as another 4,639 residents in North Salt Lake and Woods Cross lost power shortly before noon because of a loss of transmission at substations in the county, said Rocky Mountain Power spokesman Spencer Hall.

The exact cause of that remains under investigation.

However, power was restored to Farmington residents about 12:45 p.m. and to North Salt Lake and Woods Cross residents about 1:15 p.m.

The KSL Traffic Center said the outage affected some traffic signals in the areas where the outage was reported.
