NORTH OGDEN — Police have identified two children who died in a crash in North Ogden on Tuesday.

Siblings Troy Cox, 13 and Molly Cox, 11, both of Ogden, died in the crash, which took place about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of 400 East and 1750 North, North Ogden police said in an emailed statement.

Also injured in the crash was Sheila Cox, 40, of Ogden, and Alexander Salas, 61, of North Ogden.

A white Chrysler, which Salas was driving, drifted into oncoming traffic while heading south on 400 East, police said Tuesday. The Chrysler crashed head-on into a Toyota, which Sheila Cox was driving.

Sheila Cox was in surgery Tuesday after being injured, and Salas had some broken bones, police said Tuesday. They did not provide any updates on their conditions as of Wednesday.

A third car was involved in the crash, and the driver of that car was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released, according to police.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation as of Wednesday afternoon, police said.
