SALT LAKE CITY — I-84 has reopened between Tremonton and Snowville after a new fire sparked Friday and closed the freeway.

Fire officials are estimating the Goring Fire is about 15,046 acres in size, or about 23.5 square miles, as of Saturday morning. It started about 4:30 p.m. Friday and is burning near Howell in northeast Box Elder County.

At least ten active wildfires are burning throughout Utah as of Saturday morning, according to Utah fire officials.
