Fire updates: Millard County fire grows to 700 acres

SALT LAKE CITY — Two wildfires burning in Millard County continue to grow, while crews have made significant progress containing four older and larger wildfires burning in the state.

Four older fires that have been burning in the state for weeks are all now at least 80 percent contained, according to Utah Fire Info.

Three small fires in Duchesne County were also expected to be contained Wednesday; however, a new fire sparked near Meadow, Millard County Wednesday and is producing smoke visible on I-15.
