Police ask for public's help in locating man last seen in Millcreek

MILLCREEK — Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 79-year-old man who was last seen leaving his home Friday morning.

Unified police said Leon Hy Saunders, who goes by the name Hy, was last seen leaving his home near 2700 East and 4600 South shortly before 5:50 a.m.

Police added they were concerned because Saunders was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.

He is 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds and was wearing a blue parka vest, blue sweater, black sweatpants and sneakers when he left his home Friday morning.

Anyone who may have seen Saunders is asked to call Unified police at 801-743-7000.
