NEPHI — Police released the name of a 26-year-old man Tuesday after he was taken into custody Saturday night following a stabbing in Nephi, officials said.
Bryan Terry, of Nephi, stabbed another man outside a home at a trailer park near 880 N. 300 East, according to Nephi Police Capt. Bert Wright. A witness in the area called police about 6 p.m., and officers responded to the scene.
Emergency personnel began administering medical aid to the stabbed man, and officers found Terry sitting on the steps outside a trailer house in the park. When questioned, Terry told police he stabbed the victim, Wright said.
The victim was stabbed “multiple times” and transported to a hospital where he is still recovering, according to Wright. Officials have not yet released his name.
Police took Terry into custody without incident. The stabbing is still under investigation.
Officers were previously familiar with Terry, who has also been cited for underage drinking, shoplifting and disorderly conduct as well as violent crimes.
