AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — A Russian helicopter billed as the largest in the world was a central attraction at an international homeland security conference and weapons exhibition held in Jordan.

More than 350 companies from 35 countries were represented at the four-day Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) which ends Thursday. Organizers say 99 delegations from 53 countries attended.

It was the 12th conference since Jordan's King Abdullah II founded it in 1996.

Jordan has played a key role in the fight against Islamic extremism, most recently against the Islamic State group.

Jordan's Prince Feisal said Tuesday it's important for specialists to "get together and learn from each other."

A giant MI-26-T2 transport helicopter, parked on the exhibition grounds, drew many visitors. Jane's 360, a defense news site, says Jordan has ordered four.
