CEDAR CITY — A 6-year-old boy who was missing in a remote area of Iron County has been found.

Zayden Mortensen was reported missing about 6:45 p.m., according to a press release from the Iron County Sheriff's Office. Mortensen, who has high-functioning autism, had wandered away from his grandmother while they were shed hunting in the Lund area of Iron County.

He had last been seen about 4:45 p.m., west of the area near Zane Road and Pine Valley Road.

Iron County Search and Rescue, and Southern Utah University Aviation responded and searched for the child. He was found about 2 a.m. cold but unharmed.
