KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Nick Masterson scored 28 points with six 3-pointers, James Scott added 17 points, and Kennesaw State used a late run to beat North Florida 89-81 on Thursday night to split the season series with the Ospreys.

Tyler Hooker scored 14 points and a go-ahead layup with 1:40 left, Bryson Lockley and Anthony Wilson had 10 apiece, and the Owls (8-17, 4-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) shot 39.5 percent from the field and made 23 free throws in winning for the third time in their last six games.

Trailing 42-40 at halftime, North Florida led 51-49 on Garrett Sams' 3-pointer and 72-66 on Ivan Gandia-Rosa's 3 with 6:41 left. Hooker's layup put the Owls up 78-77 and the lead traded hands until Hooker's layup with 1:40 to go sparked an 11-2 run to end the game.

Noah Horchle scored 22 points, Sams added 15, and Gandia-Rosa had 12 with 11 rebounds for the Ospreys (11-16, 5-5), who shot 49.2 percent from the field but turned it over 14 times.
