BLUFFDALE — A child was injured in a crash near 14115 South Mountain View Corridor, officials said.

The crash took place at about 7:35 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway and involved a Honda Civic and Ford Expedition.

The child had a non-life-threatening back injury, Unified police Lt. Brian Lohrke said. The child was flown by medical helicopter to Primary Children's Hospital in serious condition, Lohrke said.

The crash scene would be cleared by about 9 p.m., Utah Department of Transportation officials said via Twitter.

No other details about the crash were immediately available.
