Georgetown stays perfect with 83-74 win over NC A&T

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) — Jessie Govan scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Jamorko Pickett scored 12 points to help Georgetown remain unbeaten with an 83-74 win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.

Kaleb Johnson added 10 points for Georgetown (8-0). Entering Saturday's game, the Hoyas' opponents were a combined 8-52 against Division I competition.

Georgetown built a 14-0 lead before Milik Gantz made a pair of free throws for the Aggies with 11:44 left before halftime. Aaren Edmead made a 3-pointer and Femi Olujobi followed with a jumper and the Aggies closed to 23-15.

But Jagan Mosely made two free throws and Jamorko Pickett made a jumper and a 3 to put Georgetown up 30-15. The Hoyas led by double figures for most of the second half.

Gantz led North Carolina A&T (5-4) with 21 points, shooting 9 of 13 from the floor. Olujobi scored 18 and Edmead finished with 14 points.
